VEGAN AREPAS

INGREDIENTS

- 2 cups pre-cooked cornmeal (PAN is the most famous brand)

- 2 1/2 cups water

- 1 tsp salt

FILLINGS

- avocado

- black beans

- vegan cheese

- anything else you love (banana, tofu…)

METHOD

1. In a bowl fill in the water first and then salt and cornmeal

2. Knead until fully combined for around 2 minutes and let rest for 10 minutes

3. Form patties and fry each side for 5 minutes (you can on top of that, bake them for some minutes in the oven)

4. Cut them open and fill up with any filling you like
